PRAYING GOD’S WORD
LET’S GET STARTED
TAKE NOTE: We all are at different levels of our prayer walk with God. Hopefully, this book will be as helpful to those who have not been actively pursuing our Father God in prayer as well as those who currently have a frequent and effective walk.
Insights on How to Begin Your Journey in Praying God’s Word
Okay, I hope now that you can see the many uses of “Praying God’s Word,” so here are a few hopeful insights for getting your pray plan started.
-
Make a list of prayers you are praying or would like to begin praying. These could have to do with your family, friends, pastors, church, co-workers, business associates, leaders in government, finances, health and more.
-
Go to the table of contents in this book and look at the various prayer topics and start to put those topics next to your list of prayers. Don’t limit yourself to just one topic, as you will find many topics for each person or situation. For example: You may be praying for people with health problems and illness. Don’t just pray health and healing verses, but also think of praying some verse of Strength, Peace, Comfort, Hope, and more. Also, consider praying for the spouses of these people that are sick for things such as Compassion, Love, Peace, Rescue, and more.
-
Read over the example prayers to help formulate your own prayers.
-
Before you start your prayers, go back over the different things that might “HINDER” your prayer efforts and ask forgiveness of God if needed. Also, look to stay away from some things that can damage your prayer communication with your Father God.
-
REMEMBER–The Word of God is His Son, Jesus. Use before and after your prayers phrases like (a) Your Word says; (b) It is written; (c) Father God, Your Son, Jesus, said; or (d) Jesus, You said.
-
Get up dates from the people, situations, etc. that you are praying for so you can update your prayers and rejoice in those that have already been answered.
-
Remember – Give God your heartfelt thanks
